The Learning Lab at HFCC

The Reading Lab is designed to assist all currently enrolled HFCC students with reading in English. The lab is intended not only for students enrolled in English reading courses, but also for any HFCC student, part-time or full-time. Students who want guaranteed time with a reading lab instructor must enroll in ENG 083 or ENG 084 at the start of the semester. Enrollment is open until the start of 12-week classes for the fall and winter semesters to accommodate 12-week English classes that may run concurrent to ENG 083 or ENG 084. Limited sections of ENG 083 and ENG 084 are also offered in the spring and summer. Beginning Fall 2012, to improve enrollment and retention in ENG 083 and ENG 084, students will be required to meet with an ENG 083/084 instructor prior to registering for the class in order to get approval to enroll.
